To control a building with ayControl, you need installations based on EIB/KNX, a Wi-Fi router, a KNX interface all linked up together. To enable a smooth control, the KNX IP interface and the Wi-Fi router should be adjusted with a multicast and/or singlecast connection. The adjustments can either be done at the router or at the ETS. This is very easy and only needs a few steps. There are two types of IP interfaces. It depends on which device you have that you either have to go for a singlecast connection or multicast connection. ayControl can control building functions both with singlecast and multicast connections.

Even though the Apple iPhone OS platform has completely convinced us, we are aware of how dynamic the mobile market actually is. For that reason we have built up know-how about mobile platforms like Android and Blackberry OS. At this time, ayControl is only available for the iOs platform (iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 3G, iPod touch). In future, we will offer ayControl also for other platforms. Should you change from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch platform to another, which will be supported by us during the next years, this will be easy and uncomplicated. The control is directly processed through an IR gateway like e.g. IR Trans Ethernet or SC LAN IR-I/O, which changes the commands from Wi-Fi to infrared. The configuration contains only the creation of the user interface via the software Iseo Designer 2. The instructions of the multimedia remote control will directly be adopted by ayControl in the integrated learning mode. So, an extensive search for a code is not neccessary and the configuration only takes a few minutes.
